At bthere we aim to cultivate a work environment that reflects our mission- we work hard, but have fun doing it. Our team is the best of the best and our goal is always to put out the best product possible.
Join UsHey, I’m Ben. I quit my job as a corporate lawyer to start bthere after someone I love was sexually assaulted on a night out in college. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with an incredible team of creatives, activists and college students who all believe the same thing: we’re better when we’re together.
We’re working to create a world where we care a little bit less about the number of likes we get on our photos or how many people we have on our friends list, and a little bit more about one thing: the time we spend with our friends. We want to make it easier to be there for the people we love. If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, send us an email over on the contact page! I'll be the one that gets back to you.
When I'm not hopping between college campuses, you'll probably find me running around Town Lake with my dog, Huck. (In all seriousness, my side project is figuring out how bthere can reward us for spending time with our dogs. Stay tuned.)
Hi! I’m Sarah. After studying Sociology in college and using that knowledge of society, social relationships, and culture in several marketing positions, I found myself at bthere. bthere’s mission to encourage friends to put their phones away, spend time together, and support one another in real life, is a message that I’m always excited to share with others. While turning on the news in the morning can be less than encouraging, I’m constantly blown away by stories from bthere users who are fostering genuine relationships in their friend groups.
With Austin as the perfect backdrop, I’m constantly swimming with friends at Barton Springs, grabbing a happy hour margarita, or on my daily Eastside run (preferably in the a.m. when it’s not 100 degrees out).
Hey hi hello, I’m Quinn! I started my career in the Wild West that is social media after graduating from Baylor University. It wasn’t long before I grew to see how social media and technology can negatively affect us, both individually and corporately. Soon after, I began to look for the companies making positive waves in the tech industry and all signs pointed to bthere. bthere’s passion for bringing people together in real life is something so valuable to the world around us and I’m honored to get to be a part of it!
When I'm not working, you can probably find me rock climbing with friends, testing out new recipes from Bon Appétit, or reading books on personality typing (and then explaining it in exhausting detail to my very patient dog, Kodi).
The heart and soul of bthere. bthere first launched at the University of Texas with this small team of interns and ambassadors (plus a few amazing folks that didn’t make the photo). They represent everything we love about our friends, and they’re always finding creative ways to carry the mission of bthere to parties, study halls, and late-night queso hangs. If you ever see them walking around campus, give them a high five for being the reason bthere exists.
